About The Event

Healthy Birth Day, Inc. is hosting a Community Baby Shower in Des Moines where expectant parents will receive
resources to support their pregnancy journey, including
information on how to use the evidence-based Count the
Kicks program to get to know their baby’s movements. Join us for a fun-filled event where hundreds of expectant parents will enjoy giveaways, education, resources and sprinkles of joy for the journey into parenthood.

Mission

The mission of Healthy Birth Day, Inc. is to improve
birth outcomes through programming, advocacy,
and research. We help save babies using the evidence-
based Count the Kicks stillbirth prevention
program, which educates expectant parents on the
importance of tracking their babies’ movements in the
third trimester of pregnancy and empowers them to
speak up if they notice a change. We are committed
to centering those most at risk of enduring a stillbirth.
